Semi Volatile Organics Manager
Job Description:
  • Classification: Exempt
  • Reports to: Technical Director
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes (6 Chemists)
  • Fundamental Objective: Manage all aspects of the Semi Volatile Organics Department.
  • Instrumentation: HP5890 GC (FID, ECD, TSD), Varian 3300, 3400 GC, HP 1050 HPLC, Ion Trap GC/MS.
  • Full time, Health benefits, 401K plan
Job Duties Include:
  • Review all departmental data for accuracy and precision.
  • Perform instrument maintenance/trouble shoot problems.
  • Work with Semi Volatile Prep Manager to track workload.
  • Liaison with Client Service Department.
  • Demonstrate competency for the tests by performing an Initial Demonstration of Capability after training is completed.
  • Be able to meet client and EPA requirements for turn-around and holding times.
Qualifications:
  • Educational achievement equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor of Science in a Science related field and 5 plus years experience working in an Environmental Laboratory.
