Quality Policy
Objectives
Quality assurance objectives are set to provide the metrics necessary to assess and ensure the quality of generated data. Laboratory QA objectives will be accomplished by applying EPA method acceptance criteria and laboratory internal controls for QC parameters including preparation blanks, surrogates, spikes, duplicates and laboratory control samples. Participation in various audit studies, internal and external, are used to verify the adequacy of the quality objectives. Laboratory data quality is conducted through comparability, representativeness and completeness studies.

Quality Assurance Reports
Quality Assurance reports, prepared by the Quality Assurance Officer, are issued on a quarterly basis. The purpose of these quarterly updates is to give an indication of overall laboratory performance and quality of work. These reports contain information pertaining to the overall performance of the laboratory. Annual internal audit reports are also completed to measure laboratory performance during the previous twelve month span.
Information is gathered from internal and external audit results, control charts, monitoring programs and supervisor/analyst interviews. Situations such as equipment malfunctions, new or updated QC techniques, revised analytical procedures, corrective action activities, and significant QC or performance evaluations are addressed in the report.
The QA Officer maintains a direct line of communication with upper management to relay quality related information, therefore eliminating conflict of interest influence from production supervisors.
